What I’m Reading Now: Pearly Gates

A short and imaginative book of vignettes

Pearly Gates: Parables from the Final Threshold by Sarah Hinlicky Wilson is a collection of vignettes set just outside the entrance to the Heavenly City. We meet a variety of characters, some comical, some tragic, some grotesque, some pathetic, all relatable, as they converse with the Apostles at the gates of heaven—and at times, even the Lord himself.

The book is reminiscent of C.S. Lewis’s The Great Divorce or The Screwtape Letters, a short, insightful, and imaginative look into the Christian journey and a meditation on what it means to be saved by the grace of Jesus Christ.

You can find the book through Thornbush Press.

What are you reading, listening to, or watching that’s giving you hope right now?
